- Fonts (including Far Eastern)
Oregano only comes with Latin fonts, but there are plenty of other fonts, including Chinese
fonts, available on the web.
As a starter, try looking here.
The two Far Eastern fonts you should find easily available are called 'Cyberbit' (which
contains far more than just chinese, in fact) and 'mshei' (which is
the standard windows chinese font). A search on altavista for
cyberbit.zip turns up a copy fairly easily.
All you need to do is copy the font from the zip file as
!OreganRes.Fonts.Cyberbit.Regular (or install it with the tool described below), and then uncomment the
font.fallback:TrueTypeFont:Cyberbit line in !Oregano.Messages and add '.Regular' after 'Cyberbit'. You'll
want to comment out the lines beginning font.spacing and editor.shift
too.
- Font installation tool and GUI (skin) editing
Castle have created a simple tool to help with font installation, and to automate some aspects of GUI (or skin) creation and management. It is available for download here.
