NEW SMALLER FASTER SCANNERS FROM CASTLE 21st May 2001

Castle Technology have today announced the availability of a new range of faster and smaller colour scanners. The Mustek colour 600CP scanner has a remarkably small foot print of just 416mm x 282mm and is ultra thin at just 64mm high. The 600CP incorporates a fast, Single Pass, 30-bit, 600 dpi scan head for optimun performance. For stress free installation and use this scanner is controlled from the computer‘s parallel port and includes a 'printer through-port' to enable a printer and scanner to be simultaneously connected to the computer without the need for a switch box or additional cabling. Castle have totally rewritten a new version of their driver for this scanner to ensure the ultimate performance and colour matching. In addition the 600CP is supplied with ImageMaster and Twain for use on RISC OS and also a full PC scanner suite for use on Windows PCs. The price for the scanner is just £99 + vat & delivery. A enhanced version of the scanner (Mustek 1200CP) featuring a fast 1200 dpi scan head will be available shortly at £129+vat & delivery.
