Castle Technology Ltd (CTL) is proud to announce that it has been appointed by Acorn Computers Ltd (Acorn) as worldwide distributor for all Acorn products. This announcement follows some weeks of confusion following the dramatic decision announced by Acorn on Thursday 25th September 1998.

This arrangement will ensure a future for the existing range of Acorn's computer products and provides an immediate continuity of supply of product to the market. Acorn will continue to produce its best selling desktop range of computers (RiscPC, A7000+ & N/C network computer). Further development and enhancement of this range will be announced at a later stage.

Over the last few years Castle Technology has had considerable success selling Acorn computers. CTL will use these skills and techniques to ensure that Acorn's computers are promoted and marketed to reflect the excellent qualities of the product. Amongst these qualities, as many users will testify, are:


1. High quality product (UK built to an extremely high standard).
2. ROM based operating system (Resulting in fewer fatal crashes when compared to PCs).
3. Easy to use RISC Operating System (Making computing a delight for all ages and abilities).
4. Low cost of ownership (An Acorn RISC OS computer will out last most other PCs)
5. Low maintenance requirement (the combination of the above points significantly reduces the requirement for local support resource).
6. Wide range of UK educational and business software.

CTL is very positive about the future for Acorn computers, citing the combination of Acorn's quality product range and CTL's marketing skills as a profitable relationship for the future of Acorn and RISC OS.

Distribution of the Acorn product will be through Acorn's existing dealer network. CTL will actively encourage local sales and support to Schools, the Home and Business where the local Acorn dealer can provide unparalleled support to its customers.
